Hiver and Rosine Takoagne are experiencing refreshment in their relationship with God. They serve a local congregation in Cameroon where Hiver also leads at the district level and acts as coordinator and trainer for PLI Cameroon’s West Region.
A Season of Waiting
Before attending PLI training, Hiver described that they experienced a time of questioning and sensed something was lacking. They felt dissatisfied. “There was some emptiness, some gap in our hearts,” Hiver explained. Although people were blessed by their ministry, something was missing in their lives.
During this season of wrestling, Hiver and Rosine were invited to participate in PLI’s leadership training. Initially, they were uncertain how the training could help them. But the Takoagnes soon discovered what they had been missing in their lives and ministry: alignment with God’s mission and vision. This realization was transformational for them.
“Yes, this is what we were looking for… After we started training with PLI we were able to see the right direction. God spoke to us through the training and convinced us that the vision of God is to restore His kingdom. And that kingdom will be restored…by making disciples. It was a deliverance for us.”

Discovering Joy and Fulfillment
Hearing God’s voice reminded them again of God’s heart for them and all people. This filled them with fresh vision and courage. As their lives aligned with God’s mission, they experienced freedom and joy again in their ministry.
“Since that day, we started seeing ourselves fulfilled in ministry… When you’re in the truth, you feel happy, you enjoy [life and ministry]. Our ministry and even our home—our family—took on another direction by the grace of God. God is working in and through us and we are very grateful.”
